History

myCobot was developed by Elephant Robotics, a robotics company founded in 2016 in Shenzhen, China. The company focuses on "robot research and development, platform software development, and intelligent manufacturing services."

Elephant was initially incubated by global hardware accelerator HAX and subsequently received funding from VC firms like Cloud Angel, SOSV, Orient Securities, Shenzhen Venture Capital, and ZhenFund, among others.

The company has developed a wide range of robot products, including bionic pets like MarsCat and metaCat, collaborative robots like the myCobot series, myPalletizer, myAGV, mechArm, and ultraArm, as well as professional collaborative robots such as the P and C series, and myCobot Pro. As of early 2024, Elephant has sold over 10,000 myCobot units in more than 50 countries.
